General Finishes High Performance Topcoat
General Finishes High Performance is a clear water-based urethane/acrylic topcoat for interior cabinets, furniture, trim, and doors. It is our best-selling protective finish. Sheens: Dead Flat (under 5), Flat (10 or less), Satin (25 to 35), Semi-Gloss (50 to 60), and Gloss (80+). Coverage is about 500 to 600 sq ft per gallon. Apply 2 to 3 coats, recoat in 2+ hours, full cure in 21 days.
It can be brushed, rolled, or sprayed, and General Finishes calls it the best choice for high-use areas such as tabletops and kitchen cabinets. High Performance is interior only. For outdoor projects, look at Exterior 450.

FAQ
Which sheen for cabinets?
Satin is the most common cabinet choice. Dead Flat or Flat gives a matte look; Semi-Gloss or Gloss is shinier and easier to wipe down.
Will it amber?
No. General Finishes lists High Performance as non-ambering, and it dries clear.
Can I use it over Milk Paint?
Yes on darker Milk Paint colors, for extra durability or sheen. General Finishes says not to use a clear topcoat over white or light colors because it can yellow.
