DAP Plastic Wood All Purpose Wood Filler in Natural, Pint, is a latex-based carpenter's wood filler for repairing cracks, gouges, holes and other surface defects on furniture, woodwork, molding, cabinets, paneling, plywood, windows, doors and painted surfaces. DAP says it looks and acts like real wood, and the thick, knife-grade formula can be molded for corners and vertical surfaces. Shallow fills up to 1/8 inch dry in about 3 to 6 hours; fills 1/4 inch and deeper can take up to 36 hours.

How to apply

1. Clean the repair area. Press filler firmly into the defect with a putty knife; overfill slightly.
2. Allow to dry fully. Sand flush and remove dust.
3. Paint with latex right after sanding, or oil-based paint after 12 hours. If staining, DAP says to test on scrap wood first, stain the wood before filling, then stain the dried filler to blend. Outdoors, seal the repair with a waterproof coating.
