Modern Masters Pearl White Metallic Paint (ME19606, 6 oz) is a satin, water-based acrylic metallic from the Modern Masters Satin Metallic Paint Collection. Modern Masters blends mica with traditional pigments for a pearly white shimmer that does not fade or tarnish, and calls the line water based and non-hazardous. The 6 oz jar is sized for furniture accents, picture frames, hardware, crafts and sample boards before you commit to a wall.

Modern Masters rates each color opaque, semi-opaque or sheer: opaque colors need two coats and semi-opaque colors three, while sheer colors are translucent overcoats that add luster over other paints. Pearl White is rated sheer, so use it over a base color rather than expecting full hide. Test on a sample board first, which is what this 6 oz size is great for.
Prime the clean, dry surface first and let it dry, preferably overnight. Modern Masters recommends its Metallic Cool Tone or Warm Tone primers, and lists Zinsser SealCoat over wood knots and Rust-Oleum Sierra primers on ferrous metal. Compare primers on primers and sealers; SealCoat is here.
Modern Masters says exterior use requires its MasterClear UV protective clear topcoat, and the same topcoat adds scuff resistance and washability indoors. Use MasterClear Satin over pieces that get handled.
Use a quality brush for water-based paint. To roll larger areas, add up to 16 oz of Extender for Rolling per gallon, work in about 4 ft sections and back-roll in one direction. To spray, thin with up to 16 oz of water per gallon and use an HVLP or conventional cup gun, not an airless sprayer. Use low-tack tape over fresh metallic paint.
