System Three Resins (Auburn, WA area heritage in marine and woodworking epoxies) makes specialty adhesives, coatings, and wood-repair systems used by boatbuilders and DIY restorers. This brand collection covers the System Three products currently ACTIVE in the Project Weekend DIY store: RotFix epoxy wood sealer, SculpWood Paste, and MirrorCoat pour-on finish.
Per System Three product literature and our live SKUs: RotFix is a solvent-free, ultra-low-viscosity penetrating epoxy consolidant and bonding primer for soft, punky, or damp wood (part of the EndRot system). It hardens deteriorated wood and primes for SculpWood fillers; the maker notes it does not kill rot fungus—use a borate treatment for active fungus first. SculpWood Paste is a two-part, non-shrinking, non-sag waterproof epoxy paste for cracks and shallow voids that sands like wood when cured. MirrorCoat is a 100%-solids, crystal-clear, self-leveling bar and tabletop epoxy mixed 2:1 by volume, water- and alcohol-resistant, with about a 40-minute working time and 5-day full cure at 70°F.

FAQ
Does RotFix kill wood rot?
No. System Three states RotFix does not kill rot fungus or keep it from returning. For active fungus, maker guidance is to treat with a borate product (such as Board Defense) first, then consolidate with RotFix.
What is the EndRot system?
EndRot pairs RotFix (penetrating consolidant) with SculpWood Putty and Paste (non-shrinking epoxy fillers) for architectural wood repair on window casings, porch posts, balusters, and similar components.
MirrorCoat mix ratio?
MirrorCoat mixes two parts resin to one part hardener by volume (100:44 by weight). Our 1.5 pint kit lists about 40 minutes working time at 70°F and full cure in 5 days at 70°F.
Can RotFix go on damp wood?
Maker materials for our RotFix SKU state it can be used on damp wood and reliably cures at temperatures as low as 35°F.
SculpWood Paste vs Putty?
Paste is the spreadable, non-sag finishing compound for cracks and shallow defects. Putty is the moldable filler for larger voids. We currently list ACTIVE Paste; both are designed to bond over RotFix.
