What it does:
Messmer's UV Plus 250 is a linseed oil-based penetrating stain formulated for exterior wood decks, fences, siding, and log homes. The Natural Redwood tint uses Transparent Iron Oxide pigments that absorb UV radiation while letting the wood grain show through — so the color protection is built into the formula, not layered on top. Because it penetrates rather than films, it won't peel or flake, and recoating is a clean-and-reapply job with no stripping or sanding. At <250 g/L VOC, it's compliant in all 50 states.
