The TDS practical range is 208–320 sq ft/gallon at 1.5 mil dry film with 15% material loss; the product page separately lists 320–400. The TDS application prose allows about 1 hour touch dry at 70°F/50% RH; its table lists 30 minutes touch, 1 hour handle, 30 minutes recoat and 24 hours cure at 70–80°F/50% RH. Conditions change drying.

How to apply

  1. Remove dirt, grease and loose paint. Prime the clean, dry surface with a compatible recommended primer; let it dry, preferably overnight. Stir thoroughly and test a sample board.
  2. Apply at 58–85°F with a water-based latex brush or roller. When rolling, follow the extender limit above; work in 4-foot sections, keep a wet edge and back-roll in one direction.
  3. For spraying, use the specified pressure-pot HVLP or conventional cup setup, ventilation and a NIOSH-approved respirator. Follow the water limit above; excess thinning reduces hide. Do not use turbine-powered HVLP or airless equipment.
  4. Follow the can’s drying directions and color’s coat count. Clean tools promptly with soap and warm water. Seal unused paint; store cool, dry and out of sunlight; avoid freezing.

Good to know

WARNING: The exact-code SDS classifies this product as suspected of causing cancer. Obtain special instructions before use; seek medical advice if exposed or concerned. Read the SDS for ME23832, dated 2/17/2026, and your can label. Ventilate, avoid breathing spray or sanding dust, wear gloves and splash eye protection. Removing old paint can release toxic lead; use proper respiratory protection, HEPA and wet cleanup. Dispose of paint and containers under local rules.

Questions

How many coats? The manufacturer recommends three coats for this semi-opaque color.

Can I use it outdoors? The TDS requires MasterClear UV Protective Clear Topcoat for exterior use; it also helps demanding interior surfaces.

Why do package volumes differ? The PSS photograph prints 1 Qt/946 mL; the current TDS lists 30 fl oz. Confirm the current can’s filled volume and label; common item code alone does not resolve the difference.

Will the images match my project? The first photo is supplier-supplied packaging, the group shows family packages, and the last is the named manufacturer color sample. Test the color and technique on your substrate before the project.
