How to apply
Start with the manufacturer's preparation steps: Remove dirt, oil and contaminants; rinse and dry; Sand glossy prior coatings; Use suitable specialty primer on certain metals, then 2 coats of Metal Effects Primer.
- Clean, dry and prime with at least two Metal Effects Primer coats
- Apply two coats of the selected Oxidizing Paint
- Apply matching aging solution as directed by the color-specific TDS
- If required, topcoat only with Permacoat Xtreme after the developed finish dries
Good to know
Use limits: Airless spray systems; Turbine-type air compressors for HVLP; Other sealers or varnishes over developed patina or rust.
Keep the recoat time and full cure time separate when planning the project. The recoat figure tells you when another coat can be applied; it does not replace the full cure guidance.
