How to apply
Start with the manufacturer's preparation steps: Dry and free of wax, grease, polish, deteriorated finishes; Sand smooth and remove dust with damp cloth; Do not use steel wool; Allow Minwax Wood Finish stain at least 24 hours before topcoating.
- Prepare clean, dry, smooth wood
- Stir, never shake
- Brush on thin coat with synthetic bristle brush
- After at least 2 hours, sand with 220 grit and remove dust
- Apply three coats total
- Wait 3 hours before light handling, 24 hours before normal use
