UGL (United Gilsonite Laboratories) makes wood stains, finishes, and specialty coatings under the ZAR brand and other lines. This brand collection covers UGL products currently in the Project Weekend DIY store, starting with ZAR Interior Oil Base Stain.

Per ZAR / UGL product literature on our Teak quart listing, ZAR Interior Oil Base Stain is a full-bodied, translucent wiping stain that stains and seals in one application. It is formulated with controlled penetration for uniform color without streaks or lap marks, and it can be used on previously painted or varnished surfaces without stripping. Maker copy also positions it for decorative faux finishing and color toning on non-porous, non-wood surfaces, with deep rich color in fewer coats. Apply with a lint-free cloth, foam applicator, or natural bristle brush. Uses listed include traditional staining, cerusing, graining, and glazing. Always follow the label for prep, dry time, and cleanup.
