How to apply

Start with the manufacturer's preparation steps: Clean and dry; remove contaminants; Sand bare wood medium to fine with grain; remove dust without tack rag; Sand previously finished wood to remove gloss; Let oil stain dry at least 48 hours before topcoating.

  1. Clean, dry, and sand surface; remove dust
  2. Stir; do not shake; test adhesion
  3. Apply even coats with grain, avoiding excessive buildup
  4. Sand lightly and remove dust between coats
  5. Apply at least three coats and coat all sides of project

Use limits: Wood decks, steps, and fences; Wood siding; Log homes; Below waterline surfaces; Foot traffic areas; Over shellac, lacquer, or stearate-containing filler, stain, or sealer.
